It's Disneyland's 60th anniversary! For their diamond celebration, Disneyland rolled out a bunch of new diamond celebration themed treats. The Mickey & Minnie candy apples were already adorable, but somehow they became even cuter! I attempted to recreated them in 1/12th scale; you can even follow along in the video tutorial below:
So on the second attempt, I painted the bottom half of the apple in blue acrylic, dipped it in sand, and then sealed it. This turned out a lot better. I feel like remaking these again with a more vivid blue, though. Yeesh, never satisfied am I?
